Established on May 17th, 1968, Agribusiness focuses on agro-industrial development and marketing, develops research culture of Agribusiness for public welfare, implements community service linked to the field, increases an integrated management system to support the learning activities program, and builds institutional cooperation between each stakeholder in the field of Agriculture Studies.
Agribusiness Study Program concentrates on 3 specializations, which are Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, and Agricultural Sociology.

The Program focuses on specialization which are Pests and Diseases of Plants, Soil Science, and Agronomy.
1. Pests and Diseases of Plants
A scientific field that studies the identification of plant-disturbing organisms and how to control them in an integrated manner to increase crop production. The field of interest includes microbiology, basic plant protection, plant pest science, integrated plant pest control, bacteriology, mycology, and entomology.
2. Soil Science
This is a scientific field which learns about the understanding of soil for agriculture, in order to overcome environmental problems and alternative solutions in planning the management and use of the land through a natural resource approach with its potential as part of a very important component in sustainable agricultural production. The field
of interest in Soil Science includes Soil classification, agrohydrology, soil and water conservation, soil rehabilitation technology, and basic planning and regional development.
3. Agronomy
Agronomy is a scientific field that studies plants, plant cultivation processes and technology in plant production and post-harvest. The field of interest includes: cropping patterns, plant growth analysis,
post-harvest technology, nursery management, molecular biology, applied plant breeding, plant tissue culture, and landscape
horticulture.

The study interest of Monetary Economics & Banking is a scientific field which learns the analysis of monetary aspects of an economy, banking, government finance, and capital markets. The field of interest in Monetary Economics & Banking includes subjects including Central Banking, Seminar on Monetary Economics and
Banking, Islamic Banking, Banking Policy, Bank Financial Management, and Banking Laboratory/Banking Practice. Research on this study interest is as follows: Banking Performance, Forecasting Exchange Rates, Development and Control of Monetary Policy. The facilities in the area of interest in Monetary Economics & Banking are the Banking Laboratory.
Economics of Regional Development Planning
The area of interest in Economics of Regional Development Planning is a scientific field that studies the economic aspects of developing a regional area, development financing, sectoral policies, monitoring, and environmental impacts. The area of interest in Regional Development Planning Economics includes the following courses: Regional Development Planning, Public Policy Seminars, Evaluation of Public Sector Projects, Sharia Economics, Regional Finance, and Development Planning Laboratories. Research on Economics Specialization in Regional Development Planning includes Identification of Potential Sector, Government Policy, Sector Contribution that can encourage Economic Growth. The study interest has a Planning Laboratory to support the study process.
International Trade and Investment Economics
The field of interest in International Trade and Investment Economics is a scientific field that can complete export-import procedures and
administration, investment analysis, and capital markets. It offers several courses including Seminars on International Economics, Investment Management, Project Evaluation, International Monetary Economics, Multinational Corporations, and Investment Laboratory. Research on this study interest is as follows: Investment Development, Import-Export, Investment Profits, Investment Decisions, and Capital Market System Development. Based on the State Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education and the State Constitution Number 04 of 2014 concerning the Implementation and Management of Higher Education, the objectives of Faculty of Economics and Business UPN Veteran Jawa Timur in 1 phase for the 2015 – 2019 period include of education and tuition, research and community service, organizational, finance, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, and collaboration. Based on the description above, the targets are divided into 7 (seven) areas; including Education and Tuition, Research & Community Service, Organization, Finance, Human Resources, Facility & Infrastructure, and Collaboration.

Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest study programs in UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Established on May 17th, 1968, Chemical Engineering becomes one of the most competitive study programs in UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur and leads the students to familiarize themselves with the sector of the chemical industrial sector, oil, and gas. Besides, the study program also encourages the students to create a new job market and adapt to carry an entrepreneurship mindset.
By the end of the studies, the students are expected to implement and develop science and technology in the field of Chemical Engineering. Moreover, the students are encouraged to identify, formulate and solve the problems and implement them into relevant methods.
Environmental Engineering

Short Description
Environmental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Civil and Planning Engineering, “Veteran” National Development University (UPN) of East Java, was founded in 1993 as a STATE DEPARTMENT under the management of the Defense and Security Department. Based on a joint decree by the Education and Culture Minister No: Kep / 0307 / X / 1994 and the Defense and Security Minister No: Kep / 10 / XI / 1994, the department was equalized and changed to a Study Program in 2009. The first set of students admitted into the department during the odd semester of 1993/1994 academic year, was a total of 26, and ever since then, the number has continuously increased as students tend to get more acquainted with the course.
Currently, the percentage of graduates working in their fields of expertise is approximately 85%. This percentage is outstanding considering the large environmental engineering work area with many fields of expertise.
In general, the program offers courses related to processing and management related to water, soil, and air resources. Students’ interest begins in semester 4 (four) by taking elective courses which are divided into 2 (two) specializations, which are Environmental Engineering and Environmental Management.

Public Administration Science students are expected to be able to analyze the interactions between actors in public governance such as in the formulation of policies and management of public services, both at the local and national levels, in social, economic, cultural, political & defense aspects with a political economy approach, as well as being able to analyze and evaluate public policy using principles, quantitative methods (all cost benefit analysis, analytical hierarchy process) and qualitative methods (al participatory impact analysis, case studies) in the entire policy cycle (formulation, implementation, and evaluation).

The graduates of the Business Administration department are prepared to have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to play professional roles. As an entrepreneurial spirit, graduate students from the Business Administration Study Program are able to carry out activities consistently by converting bright ideas so that they can be implemented into profitable business activities. The International Relations department is committed to producing graduates as Sub-national Affairs Specialists and Local-Global Issues Activists. This is in line with the vision and mission of the study program which defines defending the country as an effort to bridge local and global issues. As sub-national affairs specialists, graduates are directed to have competencies as consultants, analysts, researchers, communicators, and bureaucrats.
Meanwhile, as local-global issues activists, graduates are directed to become socio-economic entrepreneurs and social activists.
